In the area of Lenggong, which is famous for the freshwater fish dishes and saito fish balls, Sin Hup Yik is a local favorite for such dishes, with their freshwater fish from the Perak river like the ikan belida, tangalan, jelawat, kelah and baung. These fish are popularly ordered steamed with shredded or sliced ginger topped with a special secret sauce. The theen kai (wild frogs) is also popular.
